OrthoArizona aims to become the foremost provider of comprehensive musculo-skeletal training and treatment for athletes and youth sports within the Greater Phoenix area. We are currently recruiting a passionate and knowledgeable Strength and Conditioning Coach Assistant to join our expanding team. Candidates should have substantial experience coaching both individuals and teams to push their performance boundaries and meet their objectives. This role will report to the Director of Athletic Development and contribute to implementing athlete development initiatives.

The position primarily involves delivering sport-focused team programs for partnered clubs and schools within the Phoenix region, with responsibilities often scheduled during afternoon and evening hours, including potential weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in coaching athletes safely, professionally, and ethically to help achieve their performance targets.
  • Support athlete evaluations, data gathering, and adjust training plans to maximize results.
  • Help implement and advance both individual and group workout routines.
  • Work closely with the Director of Athletic Performance to expand and standardize the Sports Performance program throughout the area.
  • Conduct engaging and high-quality training sessions emphasizing proper technique, effort, and athlete involvement.
  • Participate in the design, assessment, and continuous improvement of performance training systems.
  • Apply basic sport-specific knowledge across multiple disciplines such as football, baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, hockey, lacrosse, golf, and swimming.
  • Ensure exercise prescriptions are age and skill-appropriate for diverse athletes.
  • Support outreach initiatives to maintain and grow relationships with local teams, organizations, and athletes.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and staff training activities.
  • Maintain thorough records and communications regarding athlete progress and training programs.
  • Travel as required to provide training and cover events or teams.

Qualifications
