Position Overview
As a Streckenwart, your primary responsibilities include monitoring the safety and maintenance condition of roads through active motorized patrols, recording any changes in road assets for annual updates in operational service databases with support from TT-SIB, enforcing compliance with the Federal Trunk Road Act and safety guidelines RSA and ASR, and participating in winter service shifts.
Responsibilities
- Oversee traffic safety and maintenance status of roadways via motorized operations.
- Document potential modifications to road inventories annually using specific operational data systems.
- Ensure adherence to federal road laws and safety standards by identifying violations related to road regulations.
- Contribute to winter maintenance activities organized in shifts.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Completed training as a road maintenance worker or equivalent, with at least five years of professional experience in road upkeep.
- Holder of a Class CE driving license and readiness to operate service vehicles under challenging conditions.
- Basic understanding of road and civil engineering works.
- Familiarity with workplace safety and accident prevention regulations.
- Solid knowledge of the RSA and ASR guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- General expertise in surveying techniques, bridge construction and maintenance, as well as environmental and landscape protection considerations.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with road information systems.
- Authorized to operate various vehicles and equipment including passenger cars, trucks used for operational services, motorized device carriers, snow plows, spreading equipment, handheld mowers, and chainsaws.
