Role Overview

The Strategic Technology Executive is a senior-level, customer-focused position responsible for articulating Teradata's product vision and platform advantages to executive leadership. This role acts as the global customer voice influencing product development while consistently communicating strategic messages externally.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Teradata’s primary technical executive contact to C-suite and senior client leaders.
• Lead high-level discussions around cloud modernization strategies, hybrid/cloud architecture, and the Teradata Cloud roadmap including SQL, AI/ML, and Generative AI advancements.
• Conduct executive briefings, workshops, and represent Teradata at industry conferences and customer events.
• Support Solution Engineers and Account Teams in delivering unified strategic technical messaging and positioning.
• Ensure messaging consistency across channels through creation of reusable presentations, whitepapers, and social media content.
• Bring global field and customer insights into product strategy and roadmap deliberations.
• Participate actively in Product Advisory Councils, proofs-of-concept feedback sessions, and roadmap workshops.
• Identify and communicate long-term customer needs with a 2–4 year horizon.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing to refine messaging according to field experiences.
• Coordinate global initiatives, knowledge sharing, and comprehensive product feedback consolidation.

Collaboration Partners

• Direct reporting line to VP, WW Teradata Cloud Platform Architecture.
• Engagement with customer executives and senior leadership teams.
• Interaction with internal teams including Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
• Collaboration with other Strategic Technology Executives worldwide.

Required Qualifications

• Over 15 years of experience in technical sales leadership, product strategy, or technology advocacy.
• Proficient knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, hybrid environments, and AI/ML implementation.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical and business concepts.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in shaping product strategy through structured feedback mechanisms.
• Excellent collaboration skills spanning engineering, marketing, and sales teams.
• Established thought leadership via public speaking engagements or published works.

Preferred Attributes

• Academic credentials in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline; advanced degrees (Master’s or MBA) advantageous.
• Experience navigating global, matrixed companies in strategic customer-facing roles.
• Certifications in public cloud technologies (such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Expert) are desirable.
• Proven ability to enable customer digital transformation and business success through data analytics.
