The Role
We are seeking two team members for two unique roles crucial to resort operations. These hands-on positions focus on stock management, internal logistics, deliveries, and sustainability initiatives across the resort. The roles contribute to the smooth functioning of daily operations and support the resort’s waste reduction, recycling, and composting efforts as part of our sustainability commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and organize Stores-controlled inventory, ensuring precision and easy access.
- Track stock levels, facilitate stock rotation, and work towards minimizing waste.
- Manage beverage stock controls and internal stock transfers efficiently.
- Receive and distribute deliveries, parcels, and goods within the resort premises.
- Assist in conducting stocktakes and maintaining detailed stock records.
- Utilize or learn PurchasePlus for managing stock movements and related processes.
- Support resort-wide waste reduction, recycling, and composting activities.
- Monitor waste streams and contribute to enhancing sustainability measures.
- Provide prompt and clear communication to various departments to maintain service efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Practical, dependable, and possessing a strong work ethic.
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
- Capable of thriving in a dynamic, operational setting.
- Confident communicator comfortable engaging with diverse teams.
- Effective at managing multiple responsibilities and prioritizing tasks.
- Interested in and committed to sustainability and environmentally sound practices.
- Experience in stock control, stores management, logistics, or hospitality operations is advantageous.
- Physically capable of handling manual tasks.
- Possession of a valid full New Zealand driver license is mandatory.
Work Location and Hours
The position is based in Arrowtown, Queenstown. It requires seven-day coverage for Stores operations and roughly 10 hours per week concentrating on sustainability efforts. The structure is flexible across two roles, featuring full-time and part-time openings.
