Role overview

This full-time position is based in Portsmith, Cairns, and suits someone who enjoys a practical, customer-facing role in an industrial and trade environment. You will support customers with sales and service, handle orders, manage stock, and assist with day-to-day warehouse and branch operations. The job involves direct customer interaction, phone-based enquiries, problem-solving, and some physically demanding work such as heavy lifting. Accuracy, initiative, and comfort using computers are important, and prior exposure to SAP is an advantage.

Key duties

• Provide technical guidance and practical solutions while delivering a strong customer experience.
• Respond to customer complaints promptly and work toward effective resolutions.
• Develop cooperative working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
• Spot local business growth opportunities and support efficient warehouse workflows.
• Help improve overall branch performance through reliable day-to-day support.
• Process orders accurately and on time in SAP.
• Follow SPW safety policies and procedures at all times.

What you should bring

• Background in retail sales or a similar customer-facing sales setting.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills.
• A strong commitment to customer service.
• Desirable SAP knowledge or experience.
• Trade knowledge in welding, fabrication, or a related field is highly valued.
