Role Summary

The Store Manager for the supermarket is expected to keep store service running smoothly while leading day-to-day operations to improve sales, profit, stock control, customer satisfaction, and business expansion. This position also owns the follow-through on improvement plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Put MAF Retail’s supermarket plans and operating procedures into practice in coordination with head office and corporate teams.
• Use both qualitative and quantitative performance reviews to assess business results and recommend ways to lift sales and profitability.
• Increase revenue and margins by keeping operating expenses within approved budgets.
• Monitor stock and sales performance, then take corrective action when required.
• Work with department heads to manage inventory effectively, including stock value, shortages, and on-time replenishment.
• Guide the team to improve customer service and make sure shopper needs are met to the expected standards.
• Oversee maintenance and service activities so store assets remain fully functional and safe.
• Support performance management by setting goals, tracking progress, and giving constructive feedback.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience overall, with 5 or more years in retail.
• Strong people skills, including clear communication and interpersonal ability.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in directing and developing teams.
• Solid analytical thinking, practical problem-solving ability, and sound judgment.
• Well organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and time effectively.
