Role Overview
We are looking for a driven Apparel Store Manager to lead a youthful, energetic, and style-conscious retail team. This position calls for a solid educational background, ideally a bachelor’s degree, with added preference for candidates who hold a professional qualification in Business Administration, Fashion, or Hospitality. The role is best suited to professionals with 6 to 12 years of steady growth in apparel retail and a proven history of handling large-format apparel stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct day-to-day apparel store operations while ensuring full alignment with company policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Plan and execute initiatives that improve customer experience, support apparel sales growth, and help the store meet its targets.
- Build, coach, and energize a customer-focused team, contributing to a positive and productive workplace.
- Review store performance metrics to spot opportunities for improvement and apply data-led actions to strengthen results.
- Coordinate with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to ensure unified execution and business growth.
- Continuously improve processes by identifying efficiencies and adopting better practices and practical solutions.
- Stay current on fashion retail movements, shopper preferences, and market changes, and adjust store strategies accordingly.
- Maintain high standards of store cleanliness, checklist completion, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or other professional background in Fashion or Hospitality is preferred but not compulsory.
- At least 6 to 10 years of experience in apparel retail, including managing large-scale stores.
- Strong capability in leading teams, developing people, and driving service excellence.
- Comfort with analyzing business data and using insights to guide operational decisions.
- Clear communication skills for working with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Hands-on knowledge of retail operations such as merchandising, stock handling, and visual merchandising.
- A creative and innovative mindset with a focus on building memorable shopping experiences.
- Good understanding of retail business dynamics and the ability to identify commercial opportunities.
