About the Role
This full-time position based in Glenorchy involves leading daily store operations, supporting the retail team, and upholding company values within the optical retail environment. The role includes managing staff schedules, driving sales through performance indicators, coaching for excellent customer service, aiding in pre-testing and dispensing, resolving customer complaints alongside the Retail Director, and ensuring high standards for store presentation and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily retail operations and provide front of house support to staff.
- Oversee and adapt staff rosters to optimize performance and sales.
- Coach and develop team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Assist in customer service activities including optical pre-testing and dispensing where needed.
- Work collaboratively with senior management to resolve client complaints effectively.
- Maintain store appearance and manage stock efficiently.
Experience and Skills
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership with practical management abilities, especially multitasking between operational oversight and team development. Prior experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager is essential, though specialized optical knowledge is not mandatory as full training is provided. The ideal individual is proactive, able to respond swiftly to changing needs, delegate tasks appropriately, and foster a motivated team environment.
