Position Summary
Joining Walmart Canada as a Stockperson/Cartpusher offers an opportunity to enhance your expertise within the retail sector. This role involves gathering shopping carts from designated areas such as cart corrals, parking lots, and store perimeters and safely storing them, all while upholding excellent customer service standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collect carts from designated locations around the store using approved protocols and maintain the necessary logs.
- Respond quickly to customer service needs at checkout areas by assisting with carry-outs or carry-ins and verify purchase receipts.
- Perform occasional cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, handle chemicals responsibly, follow proper disposal methods, and operate power equipment with required safety inspections logged before use.
- Follow established safety and emergency procedures, including hazardous communication protocols, lockout/tagout processes, and handling of bloodborne pathogens.
- Keep the Cart Retrieval Log updated at the Customer Service Desk.
- Support a safe, clean, and hazard-free working environment through strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Promote safety by wearing steel toe shoes and high-visibility reflective vests during cart collection tasks.
- Carry out safety sweeps as necessary to ensure a secure environment.
Compensation
The starting pay rate for this position is $18.75 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be aged 16 or older to be eligible for this role.
