Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and experienced Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position is vital for ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, facilitating month-end closures, and enhancing our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive learner, detail-focused, capable of independently managing tasks such as reconciliations, with familiarity in tools like NetSuite and Ramp.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage prepaid expense schedules and accrual entries, including monthly journalizing, guaranteeing timely and precise recognition adhering to GAAP standards.
• Oversee the fixed asset register, handling additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation journal entries.
• Record payroll and benefit entries monthly, verifying accuracy and correct departmental allocation.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to maintain lease schedules and process monthly entries per ASC 842 guidelines.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, promptly resolving discrepancies.
• Provide support during audits by collecting documentation, preparing schedules, and maintaining orderly audit-ready paperwork.
• Develop and enhance standard operating procedures for accounting processes to drive continuous improvements.
• Assist with daily accounting tasks, including ad hoc queries, compliance management, communication coordination, and inbox administration.

Qualifications & Experience

• A minimum of two years in accounting or related financial roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant discipline.
• Strong grasp of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Experience with financial software such as NetSuite and Ramp is advantageous.
• Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets for data management and analysis.
• Energetic, self-driven team player with keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Capacity to juggle multiple responsibilities within a dynamic, small-team setting.

Additional Information
