Role Overview
The SSAM Planning Officer is tasked with supporting the strategic planning, development, and engagement efforts of the A*STAR Smart & Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing (SSAM) Key Sector. This position is central to assessing strategic opportunities, crafting business cases, and facilitating cross-functional planning initiatives across A*STAR Research Institutes (RIs) in alignment with the organization's corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in corporate planning and drive the execution of initiatives aligned with the strategic objectives for both SSAM and SIMTech & ARTC (S&A).
- Translate strategic goals into concrete, actionable tasks and measurable deliverables for SSAM and S&A teams.
- Manage and communicate schedules, objectives, potential opportunities, and risks through regular reporting to the management team.
- Prepare presentations and materials for senior board meetings and exclusive management sessions.
- Support due diligence processes covering financial, operational, and strategic aspects.
- Gather information from various stakeholders to generate comprehensive management reports and maintain tracking systems.
- Collaborate closely with SSAM Research Institutes and departments such as Finance, Legal, Operations, Business Units, as well as external advisors.
- Coordinate planning activities between departments to ensure cohesive strategic alignment.
- Assist in planning and executing integration efforts for strategic initiatives.
- Develop presentations, reports, and briefing documents for senior leadership and board members, ensuring clarity of complex analyses and recommendations.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Preferably at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Exemplary strategic thinking skills coupled with sound business judgment.
- Strong capabilities in communication and presentation.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on results.
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in government-related sectors or agencies is a plus.
- Independent and proactive worker able to navigate ambiguity effectively.
