Role Overview

As the Specification Manager for Smart Buildings and Smart Infrastructure, you will spearhead the promotion and integration of Siemens’ advanced building solutions by fostering robust ties with consultants, planners, and design groups. Your contributions will ensure Siemens remains the partner of choice in the specification of cutting-edge building automation, fire safety, and security systems focused on sustainability and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with industry consultants and design professionals to secure specification of Siemens products in prime projects.
  • Conduct technical briefings, training, and thought leadership presentations to emphasize Siemens’ expertise and offerings in smart infrastructure.
  • Proactively identify and monitor key projects during their early design stages to influence specification inclusion and tender documentation.
  • Serve as an expert consultant by advising on compliance with standards, regulations, and best design practices, ensuring optimized system solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and bid teams to synchronize specification efforts with project delivery and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Champion and advance the adoption of digital and sustainable technologies in building infrastructure to meet evolving industry goals.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess 5 to 8 years of relevant experience working closely with consultants or planners in building technologies such as Building Automation, Fire Safety, or Security.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and design processes enabling effective positioning of Siemens’ solutions during specification phases.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, networking, and influencing capabilities to build lasting credibility with key decision-makers.
  • Show strategic foresight in early project opportunity recognition and stakeholder engagement to influence specifications.
  • Be a collaborative team player who fosters productive interdepartmental partnerships between sales and technical teams.
  • Maintain a growth-oriented attitude, continuously learning about trends like digitalization, cybersecurity, and sustainability.
