Software Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Software Engineer to join our team in Singapore. This role requires a blend of hands-on development expertise alongside strong skills in cloud infrastructure management and scalable system design. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while influencing stakeholders to successfully deliver projects.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Apply 1 to 6 years of practical software development experience, focusing on system design and scalable architecture.
• Independently manage cloud environments and deliver infrastructure solutions, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Utilize strong organizational abilities to handle concurrent tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively.
• Lead projects by influencing stakeholders and navigating delivery challenges to completion.
• Analyze complex functional requirements to craft precise, practical, and efficient technical solutions.
• Demonstrate deep proficiency in software design principles including object-oriented and functional programming, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Expertise in Java programming with Spring Framework as well as TypeScript combined with React for frontend development.
• Comprehensive understanding of HTTP protocols and modern web application architecture frameworks.
• Experience managing version control using Git and embracing CI/CD best practices with automation pipelines and release management.
• Strong troubleshooting skills including debugging and root cause analysis.
• Proficient in Linux environments and shell scripting to automate system-level tasks.
• Strong background in cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes (K8s) and Open Policy Agent (OPA).
• Familiarity with Kafka and other messaging systems and experience with event-driven and asynchronous architecture.
• Effective communication skills that facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams spanning engineering, product management, and business stakeholders.
• Passion for technology innovation and continuous learning aimed at delivering business value through novel solutions.
• Adept at rapid iteration cycles and performing fail-fast proof-of-concepts to validate and assess technical ideas.
