Role Overview
This part-time social media content creator position based in London offers the opportunity to develop into a full-time role. The successful candidate will produce, film, and edit mainly short-form social videos for platforms including Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Content will focus on the in-store Royal Arcade boutique and workshop, featuring interviews with team members, detailed explorations of eyewear making, fitting, and design processes. The goal is to both educate and engage existing clientele and attract new followers through compelling storytelling.
Part of the role involves generating and pitching innovative ideas for social media stories and ongoing series, contributing to the brand’s modern portrayal of its long-standing artisanal heritage. The creator will also participate in content planning and scheduling alongside the team.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in short-form social video creation and editing, ideally spanning several years.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere and familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of After Effects or motion graphics is advantageous.
- Practical experience filming close-up shots of small luxury products.
- Strong understanding of social media behaviors, including what captures viewers’ attention and the nuances of format, pacing, and conventions across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Analytical mindset to interpret engagement data and apply insights to improve subsequent content.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and maintain high attention to detail.
- Collaborative nature, ease of communication, and adaptability to working closely within a small team and confined space.
