Your Role
We are seeking a dedicated Shop Assistant who will support customers in finding products, maintain fresh and appealing stock displays, and contribute to a team passionate about quality food and warm service. No prior experience is necessary; training will be provided. We value friendliness, pride in one’s work, and a genuine passion for fresh food. Many of our Store Managers began their journey from this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked and rotated to present fresh, attractive merchandise.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and orderliness in the back-of-house areas.
- Monitor product quality, check expiry dates, and apply first-in-first-out inventory methods.
- Manage shelf arrangements to optimize accuracy and customer convenience.
- Deliver attentive and helpful service on the sales floor.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene protocols, and workplace safety standards.
- Collaborate with teammates to facilitate smooth daily operations.
Candidate Profile
- Passionate about food, with prior experience desirable in fresh food retail environments.
- Detail-oriented and skilled in organizing tasks effectively.
- Physically able to perform manual handling duties and stand for extended periods.
- A dependable team player demonstrating a strong work ethic.
- Availability to work flexible shifts across a 7-day roster including mornings and evenings.
