About the Role
This position involves managing and optimizing Microsoft Hyper-V based server virtual environments within a leading global organization. The role requires ensuring the reliability, availability, and scalability of virtualization infrastructure through proactive administration and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve faults affecting Hyper-V hosts, guest virtual machines, and virtualization-related services.
- Maintain and improve the Hyper-V infrastructure to guarantee robust and scalable virtual operations.
- Administer Microsoft Failover Clustering to support high availability and disaster recovery processes.
- Oversee Live Migration procedures to reduce system downtime during maintenance and capacity adjustments.
- Configure and monitor Hyper-V Replica alongside VM high availability functions to safeguard against data loss and ensure operational continuity.
Required Skills and Experience
- Between 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V troubleshooting and system administration.
- Strong familiarity with Hyper-V architecture, Failover Clustering, and High Availability configurations.
- Expertise in Live Migration and managing Hyper-V Replica technologies.
- Analytical aptitude to perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
Educational Qualification
A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required to qualify for this position.
