We offer a workplace where each day brings fresh challenges supported by dedicated teams and inspiring leaders committed to growth and improvement.
Role Overview
As a Senior Treasury Analyst, you will be part of a high-achieving Treasury team responsible for managing the financial operations of one of Australia's largest corporate debt issuers, overseeing a diversified funding portfolio around $15 billion. This position provides an excellent opportunity to deepen your knowledge and expertise in treasury and finance within a complex infrastructure setting.
Your key focus will be the daily management and operational aspects of the Treasury function, collaborating broadly across Finance and other departments to underpin Sydney Airport’s long-term financial success.
Key Duties
- Manage and support the Treasury function’s daily activities, including cash investments, interest payments, risk management, and ensuring compliance obligations are met efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in executing capital management strategies, such as refinancing bank debt, issuing bonds, performing derivative transactions, and maintaining related treasury and accounting systems that track capital activities.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports for boards, investors, management, and statutory requirements.
- Develop and sustain strong partnerships with internal teams and external parties such as banks, bond investors, rating agencies, legal counsel, and auditors.
- Champion continuous improvements to maintain a well-organised treasury function with streamlined processes and clear, precise deliverables.
Candidate Profile
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a similar field supported by 3 to 5+ years’ experience in treasury management, corporate finance, investment banking, or professional services.
- Solid understanding of debt, equity, and derivative products and capital markets.
- Experienced with treasury accounting principles and how these relate within financial operations.
- Familiarity with debt documentation including understanding key contractual terms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to create and manage complex models and develop polished financial presentations.
- Exceptional attention to detail paired with a dedication to producing accurate and high-quality outputs.
- Excellent organisational skills and a proactive mindset to efficiently meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem solver, capable of self-starting work with minimal supervision.
- Flexible and adaptable to support a variety of back-office and middle-office treasury tasks, from routine maintenance to urgent capital transaction activities.
