Senior Software Engineer - Team Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to take on a Team Lead position, overseeing a squad of full stack engineers. You will be responsible for fostering collaboration, coordination, and effective communication within your team, while actively contributing to maintaining high standards of code quality, architecture, and design practices.

Your work will involve designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions independently and collaboratively. The products require handling large data volumes and high performance, providing exposure to concurrency, fault-tolerant systems, and distributed cloud infrastructure. Emphasis on testability and continuous integration is central, supported by comprehensive test coverage. This role requires autonomy, strong prioritization skills, and adaptability in a diverse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and guide a team of engineers, promoting self-organization and ownership.
• Create a culture of continuous improvement by sharing ideas, learnings, and technology innovations.
• Support professional growth and foster development by example and mentorship.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to ensure healthy team processes, including code reviews and design discussions.
• Direct the delivery of robust and innovative software architectures and code as Lead Engineer.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and mentoring new team members to ensure smooth integration.
• Conduct performance reviews, support team-building activities, and enhance cross-team communication.
• Act as liaison between your team and stakeholders, providing early risk notifications on timelines.
• Report progress and help refine strategic goals in partnership with the Engineering Manager.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven leadership experience in a Team Lead or comparable position with strong people management capability.
• Expertise in mentoring engineers and managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Extensive background as a senior backend software engineer with a strong technical foundation.
• Proficiency in technologies including Golang, Python, Typescript, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Kubernetes.
