About the Role
Are you enthusiastic about robotics and automation and eager to implement cutting-edge Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) in practical environments? Botsync, a leading provider of robotics and automation solutions across Asia, is inviting a seasoned Project Engineer to spearhead the deployment of AMR projects at various customer locations in Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire deployment process of AMR and robotic automation projects from start to finish.
- Handle installation, configuration, commissioning, and thorough validation of robotics systems on customer premises.
- Create and utilize simulation models aimed at refining system design, throughput, and overall deployment strategies.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot sophisticated problems involving ROS navigation, PLCs, robotics hardware, and software integration.
- Contribute to solution architecture, system integration, fleet orchestration, and meticulous deployment planning.
- Provide training to customers and maintain detailed commissioning documentation such as SAT reports and technical records.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Has a minimum of five years’ experience in project engineering, specifically in robotics deployment or industrial automation contexts.
- Experienced in Linux and Robot Operating System (ROS) for configuration and troubleshooting of robots.
- Familiar with PLCs and able to resolve issues related to integrated automation systems.
- Knowledge of ARM Cortex-based embedded hardware platforms.
- Proficient in Python and SQL for scripting, debugging, and analyzing logs.
- Capable of interpreting layouts and designs with tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Demonstrates strong troubleshooting ability across both system and hardware levels.
- Comfortable interacting directly with customers and cross-disciplinary teams at sites.
- Maintains rigorous documentation practices including checklists and commissioning records.
- Displays a proactive and resourceful attitude suitable for a dynamic startup ecosystem.
- Open to domestic and international travel as required by the role.
