Role overview
This is a senior, hands-on HR position supporting a fast-growing technology business in the AI infrastructure space. Based in Ireland, the role sits at the heart of people operations and covers the employee journey from onboarding through exit. It calls for someone who can balance day-to-day execution with building scalable HR practices, while keeping compliance, employee experience, and operational quality at a high standard across multiple jurisdictions.
You will work closely with leadership, Legal, Finance, and People teams to keep HR processes running smoothly. The role places strong emphasis on employee relations, policy compliance, HR systems accuracy, and thoughtful handling of sensitive people matters in a fast-paced environment. It is well suited to someone comfortable working through ambiguity, taking ownership, and bringing structure to complex HR challenges.
Key accountabilities
- Take ownership of HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, role changes, and leave administration in a PEO setup.
- Keep compliance processes current and effective, including registrations, policy maintenance, mandatory training tracking, and readiness for audits.
- Administer employee benefits and serve as the primary contact for brokers and external HR/PEO partners.
- Support compensation-related work such as offer letter preparation, pay benchmarking, and coordination with Finance and Legal.
- Manage employee relations matters including performance concerns, workplace accommodations, conflict resolution, and separations with professionalism and sound judgment.
- Work with legal counsel on confidential or sensitive matters, ensuring proper records and risk controls are in place.
- Contribute to performance review cycles, manager support, and people initiatives such as onboarding improvements and engagement surveys.
- Maintain accurate HR data, reporting, and HRIS integrity for key workforce metrics such as headcount and attrition.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in HR Generalist or HR Operations roles, preferably in a high-growth startup or tech environment.
- Hands-on experience working within a PEO or multi-state employment structure, such as Justworks, Rippling, or a similar platform.
- Solid knowledge of employment law and HR compliance practices.
- Proven ability to handle employee relations issues with tact, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
- Strong written communication skills and a disciplined approach to documentation and detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Legal, Finance, Operations, and senior leadership.
- High discretion when managing confidential and sensitive information.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with HR automation tools such as Zapier or scripting, HRIS improvement work, AI-driven HR workflows, and certifications like PHR or SHRM-CP.
