Senior Frontend Engineer (Web Architecture & Performance) – PCORE Team

Overview

Join the PCORE team as a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead efforts in enhancing architecture, boosting performance, ensuring scalability, and standardizing multiple web platforms and frontend applications across the organization. This role involves working with complex, large-scale systems developed by diverse teams, diagnosing existing design and performance problems, and shaping unified frontend standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Evaluate and enhance architecture of current frontend applications.
• Examine comprehensive and intricate codebases spanning multiple projects.
• Detect technical debts, performance issues, and inconsistent code implementations.
• Establish and execute standardized frontend practices and reusable solutions.
• Guide architectural decisions for frontend development across teams.
• Enhance the web apps for better performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Implement and maintain microfrontend architectures and shared frontend platforms.
• Optimize key aspects such as rendering speed, bundle size, state management, API integrations, caching, lazy loading, and code splitting.
• Develop scalable UI component libraries and shared systems.
• Collaborate closely with backend, platform, DevOps, product, and design units.
• Support ongoing migration and modernization projects.
• Mentor peers and advocate for frontend engineering best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Over five years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Advanced proficiency in React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Expertise with Redux and contemporary state management techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of frontend architecture patterns and microfrontend systems.
• Experience with modular frontend designs, shared component libraries, and monorepo workflows.
• Strong understanding of rendering life cycles, browser performance, memory efficiency, network and bundle optimizations, SSR/CSR trade-offs.
• Proven ability to optimize and troubleshoot large production web applications.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, and WebSocket implementations.
• Experience in CI/CD processes, automated testing, frontend observability, and monitoring tools.
• Technical skills in build systems like webpack and vite, along with expertise in code splitting, caching, and CDN behaviors.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities to unify and drive engineering standards.
