Senior Category Manager, Indirect Sourcing & Procurement

Overview

Peloton is seeking an experienced Senior Category Manager to join its Global Procurement team, overseeing indirect sourcing and procurement activities. This role involves directing processes and managing expenditures related to Peloton’s indirect purchasing categories. The position requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to develop unified supplier portfolios and category strategies grounded in market segmentation, supplier analysis, and cost modeling. The candidate will identify business requirements, design sourcing strategies, evaluate costs, handle RFx cycles, and lead contract negotiations for multiple categories to support scalable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing plans leveraging Peloton's global spend, focusing on logistics and distribution categories, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Optimize direct and indirect costs collaboratively with stakeholders, driving cost-efficiency across assigned categories.
• Lead sourcing initiatives, project managing cross-functional teams through RFPs, negotiations, and contract finalizations.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities to enhance scalability of Peloton’s procurement capabilities.
• Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, service scopes, and contractual obligations.
• Ensure compliance with SOX and internal fiduciary controls related to procurement activities.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with major logistics providers and work closely with trade compliance functions to ensure adherence to trade laws and company policies.
• Drive process enhancements and support training and talent growth within the procurement team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years' experience in indirect procurement fields such as logistics, transportation, marketing, or technology categories.
• Relevant academic background or equivalent professional experience in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines.
• Proven ability to foster productive relationships, set targets, solve challenges, and make impactful decisions enhancing organizational efficiency.
• Results-driven professional with a track record of successful cost reduction and revenue enhancement initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments with multiple priorities and projects in various stages.
• Effective multitasker with tactical and strategic capabilities suited to collaborative teamwork.
• Self-motivated team player with a strong customer-centric mindset.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this New York City-based position is $168,750 to $207,300 annually, depending on experience and business objectives.
