About the Role

Join Ortovox Sportartikel GmbH as a Senior Apparel Designer based in Munich, Germany. This position involves leading the creative development of technical mountain sports apparel and accessories, aligning season collections with the brand's sustainable and high-quality ethos.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop seasonal design strategies ensuring consistency with Ortovox’s brand identity across product ranges.
• Lead the design team functionally by providing creative guidance throughout the design process.
• Design premium technical apparel and accessories suited for mountain sports.
• Research global market trends, customer demands, and innovations including sustainable materials and constructions to inspire product concepts.
• Conceive and implement color schemes, materials, and trims cohesively within the collection.
• Collaborate intensively with product management, development teams, pattern engineers, and material specialists.
• Innovate functional apparel solutions alongside the development team, focusing on construction techniques and processing methods.

Qualifications

• Completed degree or equivalent qualification in apparel or product design.
• Over 7 years of experience in technical apparel design, preferably in outdoor or performance sportswear segments.
• Proven experience crafting and delivering seasonal collections with strong understanding of design systems ensuring collection cohesiveness.
• Familiarity with garment construction and pattern making advantageous.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator; familiarity with 3D design tools such as CLO 3D is a benefit.
• Strong technical aptitude coupled with ability to effectively communicate and showcase design concepts.
• Autonomous, organized, and solutions-driven work approach capable of managing complex collections.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design choices to diverse stakeholders.
• Passionate about mountain sports, sustainability, and environmentally responsible product development.
