Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst position requires excellent communication abilities, emphasizing active listening, comprehension of information, and clear dissemination to key stakeholders. The candidate must collaborate effectively with various teams to meet deadlines, uphold high service quality, and consistently deliver superior standards. A proactive mindset and readiness to undertake responsibilities beyond immediate tasks are highly valued.
- Understand and manage Pre Settlements functions such as cash flow confirmation with counterparties, affirmation and processing of cash flows in systems, and updates or corrections to Standing Settlement Instructions (SSI)
- Handle Post Settlements activities including management of fails, resolving breaks, and reconciling breaks with fails
- Possess knowledge of SWIFT messaging formats related to cash settlements including MT103, MT202, MT210
- Awareness of client money usage and associated compliance implications
- Familiarity with electronic confirmation platforms like Markitwire, DTCC, CLS
- Basic product knowledge encompassing Fixed Income, Credit Default Swaps (CDS), Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), Equity Swaps and Options, FX Forwards and Options, Equity and FX Accumulators, and Nostro reconciliation
- Effective communication with global counterparties and trade support teams to validate cash flows and resolve discrepancies
- Proficient in Excel across basic and advanced functionalities
- Work hours aligned with EMEA region (1 PM to 10 PM IST) or North American region (6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST)
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum educational qualification: Graduate degree such as B.Com, BBA, BBM, BCA or Postgraduate degree including CA, M.Com, MBA, MCA, PGDM
- Experience range: 2 to 4 years in settlements, reconciliation, payments, and Nostro operations
- Hands-on familiarity and understanding of industry tools like DTCC, CLS, MarkitWire, ALERT preferred
