About the Role
We seek a highly skilled, responsible Senior Accounts & Tax Executive to independently manage accounting, taxation, auditing, and statutory compliance tasks with minimal oversight. This role requires a minimum of five years of experience, preferably within a Chartered Accountancy firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain complete bookkeeping and keep accurate financial records.
- Finalize accounts and prepare detailed Financial Statements.
- Perform ledger scrutiny, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and monitor cash flow.
- Handle journal entries, provisions, depreciation, and adjustments for year-end closing.
- Manage accounts for debtors, creditors, inventory, and fixed assets.
- Prepare and file GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C; reconcile GST with books and GSTR-2B.
- Address GST assessments, departmental queries, notices, audits, annual compliance, and advisories; possess knowledge of LUT, refunds, RCM, e-invoicing, and e-way bills.
- Prepare and submit Income Tax Returns for various entities such as Individuals, Firms, LLPs, Companies, Trusts, and HUFs, including tax computation and planning.
- Manage Advance Tax, Self-Assessment Tax, TDS reconciliations, and respond to income tax notices and assessments.
- Perform statutory audits, tax audits, internal audits, and prepare audit working papers along with schedules and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with clients to ensure timely audit completion.
- Oversee TDS deductions, payments, return filing, corrections, and issuance of certificates.
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory obligations.
- Generate MIS reports, cash flow and fund flow reports, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Use advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Pivot Tables/Charts, Conditional Formatting, Data Validation, Logical and Financial Functions) for professional report preparation and reconciliations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong grasp of accounting standards and financial reporting principles.
- Deep understanding of GST, Income Tax, TDS processes, and statutory audit procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple client assignments independently with analytical and problem-solving prowess.
- Effective communication and client relationship skills.
- Experienced in Tally Prime, Microsoft Excel, and similar accounting software.
- B.Com, M.Com, CMA Intermediate, CA Intermediate, or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum five years' relevant experience; prior CA firm exposure is advantageous.
Work Schedule
The position requires working Monday through Saturday from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience, knowledge, and interview outcomes; expected range is approximately INR 25,000 to INR 35,000 per month.
