Role Overview
The Security Supervisor based in Hamburg acts as a critical individual contributor within the EU region, responsible for applying Global Security and Risk Management strategies throughout European operations. This position emphasizes operational security implementation, incident response, compliance monitoring, and risk control, aligning with global industrial security standards. Reporting remotely to the global Security & Risk Management team, the role collaborates closely with EU local management, operations, and stakeholders to ensure secure logistics execution, bridging security goals with operational realities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement global security policies and standards across EU operations adhering to TAPA, C-TPAT, AEO, and corporate protocols.
- Perform security audits and assessments at warehouses, offices, and vendor sites; document and ensure follow-up actions with management.
- Track and report corrective and preventive actions to the global security function.
- Monitor EU regulatory compliance and assist local teams in maintaining standards.
- Identify and evaluate risks linked to cargo theft, facility security, transportation routes, and the supply chain.
- Manage security and safety incidents including investigation, evidence collection, root cause analysis, and report preparation.
- Coordinate incident response and escalation with functional peers, local leaders, law enforcement, and insurers.
- Serve as a key security contact for EU projects, supporting the creation and implementation of comprehensive security plans for sensitive shipments.
- Ensure compliance with client-specific security demands and internal requirements.
- Prepare routine and exceptional security reports on audits, incidents, risks, and KPIs for leadership and global teams.
- Maintain thorough security documentation and support audit and certification processes.
- Assist in updating security procedures to reflect corporate governance and local needs.
Candidate Profile
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience in security management, ideally within logistics or freight forwarding.
- Demonstrated expertise in compliance with international security standards such as TAPA, C-TPAT, and AEO.
- Experience handling projects involving high-value cargo.
- Sound understanding of EU regulations and supply chain security threats.
- Acquainted with warehouse and transportation operational environments.
- Exhibits strong teamwork capabilities alongside the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging multinational teams and stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills in overseeing security and risk functions.
- Client-centered attitude with resilience under pressure and responsiveness to demanding projects.
- Maintains integrity and discretion, ensuring trust and confidentiality throughout activities.
- Education level: High school diploma or above.
