Role Overview

We are recruiting for a seasoned Security Project Manager to spearhead the execution of sophisticated ICT and security initiatives in a highly secure context. This 12-month fixed-term contract position, potentially extendable and based in Victoria, Queensland, and/or the Australian Capital Territory, requires leading project delivery, managing organisational transformation, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to enhance strategic capabilities while maintaining governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of complex ICT and security projects from initiation to completion.
• Design and execute change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new technologies and processes.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and change controls.
• Identify, prioritize, and manage business and technical requirements aligning with project goals.
• Establish and nurture stakeholder relationships through clear, ongoing communication.
• Track project performance to ensure quality deliverables within agreed schedules and budgets.
• Contribute to developing policies, procedures, and training resources to support project success.
• Encourage collaboration across technical teams, business units, and leadership to meet objectives.

Candidate Requirements

• Documented experience managing medium to large ICT or security projects in complex settings.
• Strong proficiency in project management including governance, risk oversight, financial control, and delivery assurance.
• Proven capability in leading organisational change and business transformation efforts.
• Experience in defining and overseeing business and technical requirements throughout project phases.
• Exceptional skills in stakeholder management, communication, and relationship building.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams while handling multiple priorities.
• Current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance.
• Australian citizenship with eligibility to operate in secure environments.
