Security Manager

About the Role

MGM Muthu Hotels is looking for a seasoned Security Manager to oversee comprehensive security operations at their hotel in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The ideal candidate will have a significant military or armed forces background with proven capabilities in leadership, risk management, and emergency response. This role's primary focus is the protection of guests, staff, visitors, and company assets, ensuring exemplary standards of hospitality and professionalism are consistently upheld.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all security operations on a continuous 24/7 basis.
• Create, execute, and regularly review security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
• Guarantee the safety of guests, employees, visitors, and the hotel’s physical assets.
• Perform routine risk assessments and suggest proactive preventive measures.
• Supervise, train, and mentor security personnel to maintain discipline and high standards.
• Lead investigations into incidents such as accidents, theft, or security breaches, drafting comprehensive reports.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and government officials as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable local laws, health and safety guidelines, and company security protocols.
• Manage security systems including CCTV, access control, perimeter security, fire safety, and emergency preparedness efforts.
• Organize security audits, drills, and awareness training sessions for hotel staff.

Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate degree in any discipline, with additional certifications in Security or Risk Management preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of Armed Forces or Military experience, including leadership roles in security operations.
• Prior management of security operations in hospitality or sizeable corporate or industrial settings is advantageous.
• Strong expertise in physical security, crisis and emergency management, and the protection of assets.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and respond immediately during emergencies.
• Competence in preparing security documentation and detailed incident reports.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Preference for candidates with a distinguished service history in the Indian Armed Forces, though applications from other nationalities are encouraged.
• Mature professionals possessing extensive military security leadership experience are highly valued.
• Willingness to relocate to Jamaica is essential.
