Position Overview
We are currently recruiting for Professional Security Guards to be based in Napanee, Ontario, Canada. The role requires providing frontline security services including mobile patrols and oversight for a distinguished financial institution, ensuring the protection of people, property, and assets.
Work Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time employment
- Shifts run Monday through Wednesday from 17:00 to 07:00 and Sunday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 07:00 to 19:00 or 19:00 to 07:00
- Hourly wage of $22.00
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mobile patrols across assigned premises including parking lots and high-traffic areas to deter unauthorized activities and maintain safety
- Utilize personal vehicle as a place of shelter during shifts
- Monitor alarm systems and surveillance to detect and respond quickly to any disturbances or security breaches
- Carry out comprehensive security inspections of buildings and entry points to enforce protocol compliance
- Engage with clients, visitors, and staff to provide assistance and enforce security guidelines
- Report all incidents, accidents, or hazards promptly and document them thoroughly
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during incidents and emergencies
- Maintain precise logs of patrol actions, incidents, and observations according to company policies
- Inspect security equipment, vehicles, and emergency resources, reporting issues for resolution
- Conduct risk assessments and audits of client sites, identifying vulnerabilities and suggesting improvements
- Participate in ongoing training programs to improve knowledge of security practices and emergency responses
Qualifications & Requirements
- Possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Familiarity with access control technologies and alarm monitoring systems
- Capability in CCTV surveillance monitoring and accurate report writing
- Hold First Aid and CPR certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background, or equivalent work experience
- Eligible to work in Canada for over 40 hours per week
