Role Overview

This full-time, on-site seafarer position based in Dubai supports the operations of INTERNATIONAL MARITIME SHIPPING's fleet or managed vessels. Key duties include assisting with deck or engine operations, ensuring safe navigation, handling cargo, maintaining watchkeeping duties, performing routine vessel maintenance, and strictly following safety and environmental protocols. The role demands adherence to international maritime standards, company procedures, and active participation in safety drills and inspections. Close collaboration with officers and crew is essential to maintain smooth, safe, and efficient vessel functioning. The position requires a readiness to travel and work at sea for prolonged periods with an emphasis on professionalism, discipline, and teamwork.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of valid STCW certification along with other required maritime documents such as basic safety training, medical fitness certificate, and seafarer's book.
• Prior experience serving in seafaring roles on commercial vessels or an equivalent maritime background.
• Comprehensive knowledge of international maritime laws, safety standards, and emergency response protocols.
• Capability to handle physically intensive tasks and perform effectively in challenging sea environments under strict operational directives.
• Proficiency in English communication and ability to collaborate within a diverse, multicultural crew setting.
• High standards of honesty, dependability, and compliance with company policies focused on safety, security, and professional conduct.
• Readiness to be stationed in Dubai and engage in regular voyages entailing extended onboard residence.
• Additional qualifications or experience in medical devices, shipboard healthcare support, or specialized equipment handling considered advantageous.
