Scrum Master

About the Role

New York Technology Partners is seeking an experienced Scrum Master for a long-term contract position based in Atlanta, GA, with additional opportunities in Chicago, IL or Vienna, VA. This role focuses on leading Agile teams, driving ongoing enhancements, and ensuring effective delivery on large-scale enterprise initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Coach multiple Scrum teams on Agile and Scrum values, principles, and best practices.
• Identify and remove obstacles to help teams stay focused on their sprint objectives.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners to manage backlogs and guarantee clearly defined user stories.
• Encourage continuous team improvement and advocate for high performance.
• Monitor and report on Agile performance metrics including velocity, burndown charts, and sprint progress.
• Engage with stakeholders and leadership to maintain alignment and transparency throughout the process.
• Support the expansion and scaling of Agile methodologies across multiple programs or portfolios.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Over 10 years of IT industry experience, including at least 5 years in a Scrum Master role.
• Deep practical knowledge of Scrum and Agile frameworks.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, product management, and user experience.
• Outstanding facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Proven track record coaching teams and cultivating a collaborative work environment.
• Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalents.

Preferred Qualifications

• Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master.
• Experience operating within large, complex enterprise organizations.
