About the Role
At Atotech Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, this role merges scientific proficiency with technical consulting and project leadership to enhance analytical and materials science capabilities across global sites. Collaborating closely with international teams, R&D departments, and clients, you will play a vital role in advancing analytical techniques, quality standards, and operational effectiveness. This position is ideal for those passionate about disseminating knowledge, resolving complex issues, and engaging in cross-cultural teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main technical advisor for staff, customers, and cross-department partners regarding analytical procedures and laboratory operations.
- Design, conduct, and continually refine training sessions, workshops, and technical knowledge sharing tailored for laboratory personnel.
- Create, validate, and enhance analytical techniques following strict adherence to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 quality and process control standards.
- Drive and manage initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and foster continuous development within Analytics and Materials Science labs.
- Work in synergy with R&D, CPC, Application teams, external labs, and global TechCenters to facilitate troubleshooting, foster innovation, and execute projects effectively.
- Manage global interlaboratory comparisons, monitor quality controls, and spearhead the integration of new analytical methods.
- Compile and update technical documentation, including reports, guidelines, and work instructions, ensuring conformity with ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
Candidate Profile
- Degree holder in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related scientific field.
- Demonstrated experience in analytical chemistry with foundational knowledge in materials science.
- Strong skills in instrumental analysis and practical expertise in laboratory techniques and analytical methods.
- Experience in delivering technical training, conducting workshops, and presenting to varied audiences.
- Familiarity with laboratory software suites and proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, capable of working efficiently within international and diverse cultural settings.
- Organized, proactive, team-centric approach complemented by adaptability, resilience, and willingness to undertake international travel.
