About the Role
Raha International School seeks a dedicated School Principal to serve as the chief executive and lead professional at its Gardens Campus in Accra, Ghana. The Principal will spearhead the implementation of the school’s strategic vision, oversee daily school operations, manage staff and finances, and maintain community relationships while upholding a safe and effective learning environment. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, this leader will play a pivotal role in ensuring academic excellence and operational efficiency throughout the school.
Responsibilities
- Take primary managerial accountability for monitoring, evaluating, and advancing the performance management within the teaching and learning environment.
- Collaborate effectively with all relevant departments to deliver comprehensive monthly reports to the board.
- Keep the learning, discipline, and development of students central to all decision-making processes.
- Lead initiatives to strengthen the quality of teaching and learning, enhance the efficiency of school management, and elevate the school’s reputation.
- Review and assess teachers’ outputs weekly and termly and conduct regular staff evaluations.
- Foster robust relationships with families, students, and staff to build community investment in instructional goals and school initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess at least a Bachelor of Education degree; a postgraduate degree is advantageous.
- Hold a minimum of 10 years experience in the education sector, ideally with prior management-level exposure.
- Be proficient with IT tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Exhibit strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to enhancing student academic outcomes.
- Maintain the ability to promote a safe and disciplined school environment.
