Role Overview
We are looking for our very first Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join a commercial team of over 10 members and help establish our sales pipeline. This role is crucial as you will be the first point of contact for many prospects and will be responsible for turning their interest into a qualified sales pipeline. This position offers an accelerated path to becoming an Account Executive.
Key Responsibilities
- Qualify and convert inbound leads into scheduled meetings for senior sales personnel.
- Execute targeted outbound campaigns targeting ideal customer profiles using AI-enhanced research and messaging.
- Engage mainly with warm and inbound leads rather than cold calling.
- Work towards a target of 20 qualified meetings per month.
- Develop and shape the SDR playbook as part of creating scalable sales processes.
- Keep CRM data accurate and up to date to maintain team-wide trust.
What Makes This Role Unique
- Direct collaboration and mentorship from the Commercial Director with no intermediary layers.
- Access to top-tier sales technologies including Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and advanced AI-assisted outreach tools.
- Clear opportunities for fast progression into an Account Executive role upon meeting targets and milestones.
- An opportunity to build and influence a sales function from the ground up.
Candidate Profile
We prioritize attitude and work ethic above formal credentials.
- Highly motivated and driven to perform consistently at a high level.
- Strong desire for a career specifically in sales.
- Open to coaching and able to quickly apply feedback to improve.
- Competitive spirit with persistence and understanding of what it takes to win.
Preferred but not mandatory qualifications and experiences include:
- Between 1 to 2 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role.
- Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement software or the ability to learn quickly.
- Competitive background in areas such as sports or debating, which develop discipline and resilience.
Career Growth
The SDR role is conceived as a developmental step to becoming an Account Executive within a relatively short time frame. While the exact timeline and milestones will evolve, there is a strong focus on growth and advancement within the company.
What We Offer
- A competitive base salary plus uncapped commissions, rewarding your performance directly.
- Mentorship and direct access to the Commercial Director.
- A hybrid workplace environment centered in Melbourne, with a supportive team culture.
- Continuous development opportunities including coaching and constructive feedback.
