Position Overview
The Sales Coordinator role based in Bandra, Mumbai, entails managing the importation process of merchandise, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and enhancing supply chain efficiency. This professional will play a pivotal role in sourcing products, managing client communications, and facilitating smooth order processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research to locate suppliers and manufacturers aligned with client requirements, negotiating favorable pricing and terms to maximize cost-effectiveness.
- Daily preparation and dispatch of precise and competitive quotations to clients, ensuring alignment with their needs and prompt follow-up on quotation status.
- Coordinate the arrangement and shipment of product samples, monitor delivery, and solicit client feedback to facilitate decision-making.
- Collaborate internally and externally to obtain accurate product costings and secure timely approvals, keeping clients updated on revisions or confirmations.
- Maintain responsive and clear communication with clients to address inquiries, nurture ongoing relationships, promote in-house manufactured products by emphasizing quality and pricing benefits, and resolve concerns to ensure client satisfaction.
- Handle order processing tasks including documentation, inputting orders into the orders portal, tracking order status, liaising with the orders team to ensure timely delivery, and troubleshooting fulfillment issues as necessary.
- Stay informed on prevailing market trends, product innovations, and customer preferences to provide clients with pertinent advice on new offerings or suitable alternatives.
- Perform administrative duties relevant to sales such as accurate record-keeping of quotes and orders, updating client databases, and filing contracts and documents properly.
- Work collaboratively with logistics, purchasing, and finance departments to streamline operations and support the sales team in accomplishing business goals.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least two years of professional experience in a similar sales coordination or import management role.
