About Peppers Silo Hotel

Peppers Silo Hotel is a noteworthy $30 million redevelopment project located in Kings Wharf, Launceston, Tasmania. The hotel stands nine stories tall, offering 108 uniquely designed rooms, including 52 housed within the iconic barrels of the former grain silos. It provides beautiful views of popular local attractions like Seaport, Royal Park, the Tamar River Basin, and Cataract Gorge. The ground floor features Silo Day Spa, while Level 1 includes Grain of the Silos, a restaurant, café, and Woody's Bar that celebrates local produce. Role Purpose

As a Room Attendant, your key responsibility is to maintain exceptional cleanliness standards in guest rooms, ensuring every detail contributes to a memorable and positive experience. Beyond cleaning duties, you will work effectively with your team and assist guests as needed, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere and guest satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

• Complete thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including changing bed linens, sanitizing bathrooms, and wiping surfaces to create an excellent first impression.
• Adhere strictly to company guidelines to uphold high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Keep housekeeping trolleys well-stocked and organized to support efficient operations.
• Handle cleaning products responsibly while following safety procedures to maintain a safe environment.
• Protect guest privacy and security rigorously to ensure their comfort and trust.
• Promptly report any maintenance issues to support the upkeep of facilities and guest satisfaction.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in cleaning or as a room attendant is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Possess a warm and friendly communication style that creates a welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, effective time management, and take pride in delivering high-quality work.
• Enjoy physically active work, comfortably moving between rooms including use of staircases and open pathways.
• Value teamwork and work collaboratively with diverse groups of colleagues.
• Have reliable transportation and be available to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays.
