Job description
About UpGuard and the Role
UpGuard is innovating cyber risk management by using AI to eliminate manual security obstacles. Recently funded with a US$75M Series C round, the company is scaling its ability to analyze 100 billion daily risk signals. UpGuard provides a Cyber Risk Posture Management platform that integrates security ratings, threat intelligence, and autonomous AI to help organizations maintain superior security postures globally.
Within this context, the Revenue Systems Analyst will join the Revenue Systems team focused on supporting UpGuard's go-to-market operations by managing and optimizing the technology stack that powers sales and revenue processes. This position involves hands-on administration and eventual architectural leadership of systems that include but go beyond CRM platforms.
Primary Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day management and enhancements of go-to-market (GTM) tools, including user administration, configuration of objects and fields, workflows, process automation, system integrations, data validation, and maintenance of data quality.
- Design and implement comprehensive data access controls at field and property levels, applying profiles, permission sets, and field-level security to protect the integrity of data across users and automated agents alike.
- Create and maintain automation workflows to ensure sales processes are enforced properly, including deal stage gating, handoff procedures, territory assignments, and eligibility criteria.
- Collaborate closely with the Revenue Operations team to plan and improve architecture integrating CRM, configure-price-quote (CPQ)/billing, and customer success systems, progressively taking on leadership in these architecture decisions.
- Engage in projects across adjacent system tools such as sales engagement platforms and customer success software, applying systemic thinking to all GTM technology areas.
- Produce clear and comprehensive documentation including standard operating procedures for the systems under ownership.
Qualifications and Skills
- Between 1 and 3 years of practical experience managing object-oriented CRM systems, with Salesforce and HubSpot considered valuable but not mandatory if equivalent experience exists.
- Salesforce Administrator certification is highly desirable or a pathway to achieving it; strong experience with HubSpot CRM is advantageous.
- A firm conceptual understanding of CRM system design and architecture, able to justify architectural decisions involving object relationships, permissions modeling, and automation patterns.
- Ability to reliably follow and implement written instructions and confidently propose improvements when appropriate.
- Strong expertise with permission and security models ensuring API and AI agent workflows operate within the correct user permission scopes.
- A broad systems perspective comfortable expanding beyond CRM to other sales and success tools.
- Intermediate familiarity with AI tools, particularly those aligned with LLM (large language model) applications, understanding the use of AI agents in operational workflows.
Additional Advantages
- Experience working with API-driven operations, RESTful principles, authentication, batch processing, and coding workflow automations.
- Exposure to CPQ or billing platforms and custom CRM API integrations.
- Previous support experience for fast-paced sales development representative (SDR) or account executive (AE) teams.
Benefits
- Progressive career development track with an initial deep technical role advancing toward full systems ownership and architectural responsibilities within the Revenue Systems team.
- Monthly subsidy to support lifestyle and well-being—financial, physical, and mental health.
- Allowance for establishing a productive work-from-home environment within the first 3 months.
- An annual US$1500 learning and development budget to encourage continued professional growth.
- PTO plus two additional company leave days to recharge.
- Eighteen weeks of paid parental leave regardless of parenting role.
- Generous personal leave covering sick and carer’s leave.
- Fully remote employment policy with optional physical offices available in Sydney and Hobart.
- Provision of top-tier laptops to support workflow and productivity.
- Company-paid subscriptions to generative AI tools to aid work efficiency.
