Resident Engineer - Electrical

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Resident Engineer specialized in Electrical to join our consultancy supervision team for a major infrastructure project approximately 100 kilometers north of Jeddah. This position is responsible for overseeing all electrical and related utility activities on site, ensuring strict adherence to project specifications, quality benchmarks, and approved designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical supervision activities on-site as part of the consultant team.
• Oversee installation and construction of medium and low voltage power distribution networks.
• Supervise street lighting infrastructure and systems.
• Manage works related to telecom infrastructure including ducts and chambers.
• Coordinate electrical tasks with other infrastructure utilities, including roads, water, sewage, stormwater, gas, irrigation, and landscaping works.
• Ensure compliance with approved engineering drawings, specifications, and international standards.
• Review and approve contractor-submitted shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Monitor construction progress ensuring quality standards and health and safety compliance.
• Address technical issues onsite and collaborate with design teams when necessary.
• Prepare and evaluate site inspection and progress reports along with technical documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in infrastructure supervision projects within engineering consultancy settings.
• Strong technical knowledge in MV/LV power distribution, street lighting, and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Experience in coordinating electrical works with multi-utility infrastructure projects.
• Exceptional leadership and site management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills along with proficient reporting abilities.
