Regional Procurement Manager

About the Role

The Google Procurement Organization strives to maximize value by improving speed, efficiency, and security in purchasing, partnering with various teams to deliver tailored solutions. It functions as a centralized entity handling complex procurement to unify stakeholder and supplier engagement, fostering a culture of collaboration and career growth.

The Category Management team works closely with stakeholders to craft and implement procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships and advancing sourcing and agreement governance across Google.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement category strategies for indirect spending areas including marketing, media, creative, social, events, and market research to align with company goals.
• Establish and nurture supplier relationships to guarantee service quality and strategic alignment.
• Assist in executing sourcing plans, handling RFx processes, leading negotiations, and assessing suppliers within assigned categories.
• Analyze procurement spending, monitor market trends, and pinpoint value-adding opportunities through insights derived from detailed data reporting.
• Promote an AI-centered procurement approach by seeking automation opportunities for transactional workflows and utilizing predictive analytics to enhance category performance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, or comparable practical experience.
• At least seven years' experience in multifaceted procurement, particularly in strategy development, execution, and sourcing.
• Minimum five years' experience managing commercial agreements, negotiating costs, and sourcing suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, advanced degree, or professional certifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent fields.
• Expertise in procurement data analysis, reporting, and providing actionable insights.
• Proven track record in developing KPIs and employing investigatory tools for performance measurement to enable data-driven decisions.
• Strong project management capabilities to lead strategic initiatives and introduce procurement innovation.
• Skill in identifying process efficiencies and enhancing category management practices continuously.
