Overview
The corporate receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for employees, visitors, and clients, delivering outstanding service through greeting, assisting visitors, and managing inbound calls. This role plays a vital part in representing the organization's professionalism and enhancing customer experience across multiple support functions including mail/shipping, hospitality, and facilities operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service in all interactions with employees and visitors.
- Register visitors using the company logging system.
- Issue temporary access badges and facility cards to employees as needed.
- Manage incoming calls, promptly prioritizing and escalating service concerns appropriately.
- Keep phone directories and speed dial lists updated.
- Provide basic administrative assistance such as scheduling meeting rooms, ordering catering, and helping with various office projects.
- Stay proactive by seeking additional tasks during downtime.
- Foster professional relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Maintain a tidy, welcoming reception area including arranging reading materials.
- Remain composed and professional in communication with callers and visitors.

Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 to 3 years of experience in administrative, reception, concierge, or customer-facing roles preferred.
- Previous retail customer service experience is advantageous for upcoming customer-focused projects.
- Must be able to work scheduled hours as directed by management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency or willingness to learn computerized phone systems, Microsoft Office, multifunction printers/scanners, and office equipment.
- Maintain professional appearance and comply with company policies.
Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity to operate office equipment such as phones and copiers.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move packages using standard wheeled carts up to 60 lbs.
- Capability to frequently lift or move items weighting 40 lbs or more.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods.
- No travel requirements.

- The vacancy is currently open with pay ranging between $20 and $23 CAD per hour, final compensation depending on skills and experience.
