About the Role

As a Ramp Agent and Baggage Handler at Sydney Domestic Airport, you will work behind the scenes ensuring the smooth operation of airport activities. Your duties will include sorting, loading, unloading baggage and cargo, and assisting aircraft pushback on the airport tarmac.
This role requires adaptability to a variable schedule that aligns with airline timetables, including early mornings, late shifts, and weekends. Full availability across seven days is essential to support airport efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload aircraft baggage.
- Safely transfer luggage to and from aircraft.
- Repeatedly handle baggage weighing up to 35kg.
- Work under various weather conditions and in confined spaces.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure accurate sorting, loading, and unloading of baggage and cargo.
- Manage baggage flow for departing and arriving flights using sorting equipment and manual methods.
Candidate Profile
- Availability to work on a 7-day rotating schedule, covering 24 hours.
- Good physical condition to lift weights up to 32kg regularly.
- Capability to perform repetitive tasks over extended periods.
- Basic to intermediate computer literacy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Dedicated work ethic with enthusiasm for learning and growth.
- Must be an Australian citizen or resident with unlimited work rights.
- Hold a valid Australian driver's license and have reliable transport.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
