Role overview
Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an attentive and compassionate Radiographer to join its Diagnostic Imaging service in Sutton-in-Ashfield. The post offers the chance to contribute directly to patient care by producing reliable diagnostic images that help clinicians make informed decisions.
You will work in a busy, supportive multidisciplinary environment and provide safe, effective imaging support to patients across a range of clinical areas. The department is active and varied, so the work changes from day to day and includes general radiography as well as theatre imaging, mobile radiography and on-call duties.
What the role involves
In this position, you will carry out a broad mix of diagnostic imaging examinations and ensure the images produced meet a high standard of quality. Your work will play an important part in supporting accurate diagnosis and clinical decision-making.
The role suits someone who is committed to excellent patient care, works well in a team, communicates clearly, and can manage a demanding and varied workload with careful attention to detail.
Person profile
The Trust is seeking a Radiographer who is motivated, caring and eager to develop their career within a progressive organisation. A strong commitment to clinical standards, a patient-focused approach and the ability to work effectively with others are all important for success in this post.
About the employer
Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust delivering acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. The organisation places patients at the centre of everything it does and expects colleagues to show the same level of care, courtesy and kindness to one another.
The Trust describes itself as clinically led and notes that colleagues have voted it the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven consecutive years in the National NHS Staff Survey. It also states that the Care Quality Commission has rated the Trust as outstanding for care, and that King’s Mill Hospital is the only NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands with an outstanding rating.
Visa sponsorship note
Not every post is eligible for visa sponsorship. Eligibility depends on the shortage occupation list for skilled worker healthcare and education roles. The employer also notes that Home Office guidance changed from 9 April and that anyone needing to switch visa type may not be eligible for sponsorship, even if the role appears on the shortage occupation list.
