Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

We are seeking Quantity Surveyors to become part of our Southern Water team, located at Falmer and Chatham, with the flexibility of remote working combined with site presence for three days per week. This role forms part of an exciting £3.1 billion Strategic Development Partnership with Southern Water, offering a significant opportunity to engage in impactful water infrastructure projects while advancing your career in a supportive workplace that values your contributions and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project finances, including preparing payment applications and tracking costs regularly.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and clients to ensure seamless financial processes.
• Assist with procurement activities and contribute to commercial evaluations.
• Support change management by identifying variations and managing change control protocols effectively.
• Ensure all contractual notifications are correctly administered and recorded.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience working with NEC contracts and managing Target Costs.
• Strong aptitude for collaborative teamwork and relationship-building across teams.
• Industry experience in construction, water, or civil infrastructure sectors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and an aptitude for client engagement.

Additional Information

Employment is part-time with options for condensed work weeks, job sharing, or other flexible arrangements. The full-time equivalent is based on a 40-hour work week. Please note that we cannot provide certificates of sponsorship for this role.
