About the Role

A well-established company within the construction sector is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their thriving team. This permanent, office-based position will involve working on a wide range of commercial projects and playing a vital role in cost management and commercial administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing precise cost estimates and preparing tender documents.
• Performing quantity take-offs from architectural drawings and specifications.
• Reviewing and managing construction contracts effectively.
• Overseeing project costs, valuations, and producing commercial reports.
• Creating purchase orders and tracking project expenditures.
• Providing accurate measurements, calculations, and necessary documentation.
• Handling project accounts and maintaining detailed financial records.
• Coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects remain on budget.
• Utilizing Excel and PDF drawings to generate reliable commercial documentation.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Has at least 3 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Demonstrates strong commercial acumen and excellent analytical capabilities.
• Proficient in quantity take-offs and contract administration.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communicator capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience with estimating or quantity surveying software is a plus but not mandatory.
