Role Overview

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for full-spectrum QS duties from initial tender through to project completion. This role requires active involvement beyond office tasks, including preparing tender documents, conducting site visits, and participating in site meetings. Close collaboration with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and consultants is essential to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and quantity take-offs for various construction and fit-out projects.
• Lead cost planning efforts including budgeting, forecasting, and value engineering from project initiation to completion.
• Draft and submit tender documents and assist with evaluating tenders.
• Perform site inspections and attend meetings to verify measurements and monitor progress.
• Oversee project costs, tracking and managing variation orders diligently.
• Prepare progress billing, cost reports, and final accounts accurately.
• Review contractual and procurement documentation ensuring compliance with Singapore’s regulations.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across the project lifecycle to maintain alignment.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in preparing BOQs and quantity take-offs specifically for construction and interior fit-out projects.
• Strong understanding of cost planning, cost control procedures, and financial reporting.
• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficient in QS industry software and Microsoft Excel; excellent numerical and analytical capabilities.
• Knowledgeable about construction contracts, procurement workflows, and applicable local regulations in Singapore.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience within the Singapore construction or interior fit-out sectors will be highly advantageous.
