Role Purpose

The Quantity Surveyor plays a crucial role in managing and preparing quantity and cost remeasurement, variation claims, budgeting, and forecasting for the assigned projects. This role also supports Sub-Contract Managers with claim estimations and related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee project financials from start through completion, delivering precise cost estimates and comprehensive reports.
• Work closely with project teams to evaluate changes in project scope, updating cost evaluations and budgets accordingly.
• Analyze and interpret drawings and material take-offs issued by SBM Offshore or contractors, across disciplines including Structural, Piping, Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, and Coating.
• Conduct site visits to confirm quantities and modifications related to remeasurement and variation claims.
• Prepare in-depth cost reports and forecasts, providing clear insights into budget performance and deviations.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience and Skills

• At least 3 years of quantity surveying experience within the Oil & Gas sector, showcasing strong analytical capability and detail orientation.
• Expertise in cost forecasting, reporting, and cost control software, along with advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Knowledgeable in commercial compliance, analytics, and reporting.
• Familiar with SBM products, claims management, contract structures, product costing, and external benchmarking.
