Role Overview

The Quality Manager will lead and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) at the Hamm, Germany facility, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant standards. This role focuses on maintaining product and process quality, managing corrective and preventive measures, enhancing customer satisfaction, and encouraging a culture of continuous quality improvement throughout the organization. Reporting directly to the Technology Manager, the position collaborates with several departments including Production, Technology, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Sales, Customer Service, and supplier partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve the site's QMS based on ISO 9001, coordinating both internal and external audits as well as following up on audit outcomes.
• Manage customer complaints with thorough investigations and resolutions, driving corrective and preventive actions stemming from complaints, audits, and quality incidents.
• Maintain and control product specification sheets and technical quality documentation to ensure alignment with customer and regulatory standards.
• Establish and oversee quality control plans and inspection protocols.
• Enhance quality standards and acceptance benchmarks for raw material inputs.
• Support supplier evaluation and approval processes, working closely with Procurement and Technology teams to resolve supplier quality challenges.
• Lead site-wide quality improvement projects that boost product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction, cultivating a culture of accountability and customer focus.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Chemistry, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant field and brings at least 5 years of experience in quality management within manufacturing. Experience in industries such as plastics, polymers, chemical processing, automotive, or glass manufacturing is highly advantageous.

Technical Expertise

• In-depth understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management principles.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis, quality tools, and audit procedures.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Document control and specification management experience.
