Quality Manager

Position Summary

As a Quality Manager at O'Brien Fine Foods based in Naas, County Kildare, you will play a pivotal role within the Technical team to develop and oversee the Quality Assurance Policy. Your key objective will be to guarantee the provision of fully safe food products. Collaborative work with the Technical Manager IOI and the quality team to implement and maintain the quality management system across the company is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Site Quality Department efficiently.
• Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality standards.
• Oversee the traceability program to ensure product lineage and compliance.
• Formulate and apply quality management procedures and quality assurance systems.
• Track and address customer complaints by introducing corrective and preventative solutions.
• Maintain adherence to company internal criteria, legal and statutory requirements, and global quality best practices while fostering ongoing quality enhancements.
• Regularly review and update Standard Operating Procedures in line with operational activities.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams related to quality assurance matters.
• Perform inspections and sampling throughout manufacturing, including supplier interactions.
• Manage internal communications and training programs to guarantee employee understanding and compliance with stringent quality assurance standards.
• Act as liaison with regulatory authorities, supervising all regulatory and customer audits and inspections.
• Support internal audits and structural inspections to comply with British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Quality Assurance Management capacity, preferably within the meat industry. A collaborative attitude towards working with colleagues to devise effective solutions and drive organizational improvements is crucial.
