Job description
Role Overview
The Plastic Basket is seeking a dedicated Quality Laboratory Analyst to join our team in Cologne, Germany. This full-time position involves ensuring the quality standards of plastic materials through precise testing and compliance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out spectrophotometric color measurements, as well as Melt Flow Index (MFI), ash content, and moisture testing for quality control.
- Manage and maintain documentation adhering to ISO 9001 standards and ensure compliance with food-contact material regulations.
- Conduct thorough investigations into customer complaints and internal quality deviations to identify root causes.
- Assist in the development and validation of analytical methods for the introduction of new products.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Vocational certification or a Bachelor's degree in chemistry, materials science, or laboratory technology.
- Minimum of three years' experience working in quality control laboratories within the plastics, pigments, or chemical sectors.
- Proficient knowledge of spectrophotometry techniques and polymer testing methodologies.
- Language skills: fluency in German at B2 level and working proficiency in English.
