Role Summary

The Quality Assurance Assistant position is focused on supporting and maintaining the dry cleaning operations within the Quality Assurance Department. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring the quality standards for merchandise handling are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in picking up items from various departments and scanning them into designated defect locations.
• Help with sorting incoming inventory pallets and scanning each into their respective defect or dry clean locations.
• Participate in the liquidation process as needed.
• Manage the check-in and check-out processes for merchandise designated for dry cleaning.
• Inspect items for dry cleaning or laundry issues and ensure proper tagging and bagging.
• Evaluate garments for mending or restoration tasks in-house to avoid unnecessary dry cleaning.
• Receive and inspect dry cleaned items to verify quality and approve for further processing.
• Provide assistance in other departmental or company operations when required.

Required Competencies

• Exceptional attention to detail in identifying apparel defects.
• Ability to quickly and accurately detect flaws in garments.
• Strong organizational capabilities and proficiency in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Capacity to perform assigned duties independently without need for constant supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

• Between one and two years of experience in environments such as dry cleaning facilities, warehouses, or quality assurance/control settings.
• Preferred familiarity with Microsoft Office applications or Excel spreadsheets.
• Technical knowledge related to fashion is advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation

The hourly wage is estimated to range from $18 to $18.50 per hour.
